Response to "Post-secondary edge goes to immigrants' kids

I have read this article and I believe that this is true although there are more and more immigrants every year that come to Canada. This is due to the fact that Canada has a very good education program compared to some of those in other countries such as China. For example most schools in China would only go up to what is equivalent to a High School degree for us here in Canada.

I also believe that most of these immigrants are not staying with their families which can possibly put a bit of pressure on them. Some immigrants' parent's that can't afford to come themselves could possibly have them stay in a basement suite of someones house near the school they are attending.

I think that not having your family or friends with you while attending school away from home would make it much easier to concentrate on school work. The threats to be sent to join the military is better than already being in the military. This person has had the privilege to come to Canada and get a better education. He is lucky because most people wouldn't even get the chance to visit other countries such as Canada let alone get an education there.
